Jerusalem is known for more than being a religious “Holy City” with an extensive history: it is also known as a vibrant town, full of outdoor festivals, energetic gatherings, lively music, dynamic bar and club scene, and a vigorous nightlife. Hutzot Hayotzer at the Sultan’s Pool, Berry Sakharov and the Infected Mushroom, and the Wine and Beer Festival are just a few of the entertaining events that will be taking place during the Night Life in Jerusalem.

One of many anticipated events during Jerusalem’s summer is Hutzot Hayotzer at the Sultan’s Pool, one of the largest summer festivals in Jerusalem, featuring a variety of well-known names including Mosh Ben-Ari, Hadag Nachash, and Ehud Banai. These entertainers perform around the international booths full of unique crafts and tasteful foods. The Front Stage street parties, which are entertaining summer parties held every Friday afternoon (and sometimes on Thursday nights) in Jerusalem, include colorful booths, bars, exhibition tours, and other events in the courtyard. On August 18th at 19:00, many will gather at the Sacher Park to enjoy two of the distinguished names in Israel, Berry Sakharov and the Infected Mushroom, for the Season Finale of the Front Stage street parties. Also on August 18th, Marsh Dondurma will be performing at the Safra Square concert.

Aside from the vivacious musical performances, the bar and club scene makes its way into the summer night life in Jerusalem. Many visitors enjoy the Wine-Tasting Festival, which incorporates many of the leading wineries in Israel, while being surrounded by jazz and art intertwined into the grand Israel Museum’s sculpture garden. If beer is more your style, there will be 150 different beer types at the Beer Festival, which will be held at the performance of the Mercedes Band beginning on August 31.

For those interested in attending the season finale of the Front Stage street parties featuring Berry Sakharov and the Infected Mushroom, ticket prices will be 60 NIS for those who are a resident of Jerusalem, 90 NIS for advance tickets, and 110 NIS the night of the show. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.bimot.co.il. For those interested in joining in for the Wine-Tasting Festival from 19:00-23:00, ticket prices will be 70 NIS per individual. Please contact the Museum’s website at (02) 625-9703 for more information.
